Hi there! Welcome to my website for all things WordPress, Genesis and topics surrounding them. I am so glad you you’re here, please make yourself at home. Yes, this website has been a LONG time in the making, there is no doubt about that, but I’m very happy with the initial results, it is a start, right? We are always tinkering with our own websites but at some point you have to SHIP IT.
Talking Tech
Despite my angst of not having my own web services site, I am happy I took my time and settled on the Developer’s Edition of Utility Pro. This was a great way to begin learning Sass. Things like partials and variables are the two best things (so far) and have transformed the web development process for me so that it really feels like software development. I guess I just named my comfort zone didn’t I? If you are curious to know more about how I arrived here, have a look at my story.
What To Expect
My goal with this website, besides hanging out my shingle to trade website crafting for dollars, is to share technical tips, musings and tutorials on things that I have learned as I go. I’m not trying to re-invent any wheels, there are plenty of tutorials out there but sometimes we ask that one question that for whatever reason has not been covered in the same way. Those are the ones to put pen-to-paper and hit publish. Please, if one of these is a benefit to you, let me know. And, if you’d like to subscribe to get my latest posts, even better! I will keep them coming as I learn for the sole reason to give back to the WordPress and Genesis community that I have soaked in. As others have said, these are my people.
